MyAgentBase 4.0

It's hard to believe that this month marks the six year anniversary for MyAgentBase. We want to give a big thank you to our loyal customers who have made our software their “home base” over the years. Without you we would not exist! Here's to six more!

The Dashboard has undergone major enhancements making it more customizable and user friendly. With improvements to existing Widgets, the addition of new ones, and various other new features, the 4.0 update marks a new era for MyAgentBase. Read below for more details:

Dashboard Improvements

• You can now change the Dashboard Layout to suit your preference at /settings/dashboard
  • Three columns is still the default layout.
  • Simplify with two-column layouts: 50/50, 60/40, or 40/60.
  • Or consolidate everything into one full-width column.
• You can now hide a Widget's title bar.
• Customize the Widget Call to Action - change the text, URL, or hide it entirely.
• Widgets can now be edited & added directly from the Dashboard.
• You can now reset the entire dashboard to the default values in a single click.
• You can also reset individual widgets to their default options.

Updates to Existing Widgets

• Calendar Widget
  • New view options: Monthly (grid) and Today (list)
• Recent Industry News
  • You can now choose the number of articles displayed (defaults to 3, max 10)
• Recent Posts
  • New "Most Recent Post" view that displays the full content of the most recent post.
  • In the "List" view you can now set the number of posts displayed (defaults to 3, max 10)
• Featured Agent
  • You can now select a specific roster member to highlight in addition to the default "random" mode.
• Links & Files
  • In addition to displaying your "pinned" items, you can now select a folder to display as well.
• Wiki Items
  • You can now change the "Display mode" of the widget between "Pinned", "Specific Category", "All FAQs", and "All Articles".

New Widgets

• Announcement (custom content)
  • Make an announcement or office update with a WYSIWYG editor.
• Single Post / Article
  • Display the full content of a single Post or Wiki article.
• Dynamic List
  • Display a curated list of Links & Files, Posts, Wiki Items, and Folders.
• Image Carousel
  • Display a slideshow of images or a random featured image from the list.
  • Links can be added to images.
  • In slideshow mode autoplay can be toggled on and off.
  • Note: your "Vendor Ad" widget was gracefully migrated to the Image Carousel widget.
• Custom HTML
  • Embed custom HTML content like forms, iframes, or third-party widgets.

Page Updates

• You can now add Custom Links to your sidebar + mobile menu at /settings/pages
• Pages can now be reordered (via drag and drop)
• The Page order can be reset in your page settings.
• On mobile, the first four pages will display on the nav bar, and the rest in the "more" menu.

Post Updates

• Added a new "featured image" field to Posts
• Improved the Post editing experience by making it full width and adding a sidebar

Misc. Updates

• You can now minimize and expand the sidebar on desktop devices
• Changed the mobile "more" menu into a more intuitive dropdown.
• Text alignment added to the WYSIWYG editor.
• Improved the search algorithm / results for Events & Roster.
